Product Description

Features of the Nextivity CEL-FI GO G41 FN in-building cellular coverage solution

FirstNet logo
  • Amplifies cellular signal for AT&T’s FirstNet and consumer cellular networks. question mark inside a circle
  • Provides FirstNet band 14 cellular coverage in buildings for emergency communications used by police agencies, fire departments, and other first responders.
  • The most powerful carrier-grade cell phone signal booster in its class, providing up to 100 dB gain—hundreds of times more than competing home and small office boosters.
  • Your choice of 1 to 4 ceiling-mounted dome antennas or flexible-mounting panel antennas. question mark inside a circle
  • 15 dB of echo cancellation—three times as much as the GO G41’s predecessor, the GO G32—allows the booster to continue operating even when the outside and inside antennas are close enough to cause oscillation in other cell signal boosters. question mark inside a circle
  • Boosts voice, text, and data for multiple users simultaneously.
  • Configure and monitor your booster with the CEL-FI WAVE app for smartphones.

Police officers, firefighters, emergency medical services, and other public safety personnel count on the FirstNet cellular network to stay connected during emergencies. Nextivity’s CEL-FI GO G41 FN cell phone signal booster improves connectivity for FirstNet band 14 to help first responders effectively communicate on scene. The GO G41 FN provides maximum gain for both FirstNet and AT&T’s consumer cellular networks.

This custom GO G41 FN kit, available only from Powerful Signal, includes both directional and omnidirectional outdoor antennas; you can use whichever antenna provides the booster with the best donor signal. It also includes your choice of up to four inside ceiling-mounted dome antennas or flex-mount panel antennas; choose the antenna type and configuration that best meets your needs.

The CEL-FI GO G41 FN helps you stay connected and experience fewer dropped calls, undelivered texts, and missed email messages during emergencies and all other times. Boost your signal strength in areas with weak cell service and in buildings with poor inside cell signal.

Who is the Nextivity CEL-FI GO G41 FN cell signal booster for?

  • Police departments, sheriffs, and other law enforcement agency headquarters and command centers.
  • Fire and emergency medical services stations.
  • Commercial and government buildings with legacy public safety communications systems that need to transition to the FirstNet communications network.
  • Homes of police and fire chiefs and other first responders who need improved FirstNet reception.
  • Buildings in remote locations with weak cell service (new communities, rural areas, etc.)
  • Buildings made with materials that block outside cell signal (metal, plaster, concrete, UV-coated windows, etc.).

One to four inside antennas for maximum flexibility

Powerful Signal’s CEL-FI GO G41 FN system can be configured with one to four inside antennas to match your home’s configuration and meet your improved signal needs.

You’ll need access to an attic or crawlspace above the ceiling to pull cable and mount the dome antennas.

The panel antennas can be mounted on walls or ceilings. They also stand upright on flat surfaces.

Get more features with the Nextivity WAVE app

The Nextivity WAVE app for smartphones lets you check your CEL-FI GO G41 FN booster’s status and change its settings:

  • Home: An overview of the state of your CEL-FI GO G41 FN booster system, including the outdoor signal quality and strength and quality and indoor antenna separation.
  • Activity: Get detailed technical information on the bands of frequency being amplified and the state of the booster.
  • Advanced: Enable and disable specific bands and channels of frequency, update your booster’s software, tune your outside directional antenna, and more.

Optional plenum air coax cable upgrade

The CEL-FI GO G41 FN system includes TS‑400 coax cable that connects the amplifier to the inside broadcast antenna. If your building requires fire-rated cableexternal link icon in plenum spaces, please ask us about upgrading to half-inch plenum air coax. Plenum cable fully meets state and federal building codes.

Plenum cable also has nearly half the signal loss per foot of cable compared to TS‑400 coax cable, providing stronger signal from your GO RED booster and a wider indoor coverage area.

(Plenum air cable is available at additional cost. Call Powerful Signal at 435-634-6800 for details.)

Works with the AT&T FirstNet network

The CEL-FI GO G41 FN cellular booster system works only on AT&T’s FirstNetexternal link icon and consumer cellular networks. It amplifies six bands of frequency:

  • AT&T consumer band 12 (lower 700 MHz).
  • AT&T FirstNet band 14 (upper 700 MHz).
  • AT&T consumer band 5 (850 MHz).
  • AT&T consumer band 4 (1700/2100 MHz).
  • AT&T consumer bands 2 & 25 (1900 MHz).

It does not boost signal for other cellular networks or frequencies.

Which antennas should I choose?

This complete kit includes both an outdoor directional and omnidirectional antenna and gives you the choice of one to four indoor dome or panel antennas. Here are some general guidelines for choosing and using the right antennas.

Outside (donor) antenna:

  • The cylindrical Top Signal omnidirectional antenna works well in many situations. An omni antenna sends and receives signal to and from your carrier’s cell towers in all directions, and it doesn’t require any adjustment once it’s set up.
  • The wedge-shaped Top Signal directional antenna (LPDA) works best if your home has a reasonably clear line of sight to a specific cell tower that provides service for your cellular network. A directional antenna needs to be tuned (adjusted until it’s receiving the best signal), so setup is more involved than setting up an omni antenna.

Learn more about omni vs. directional antennas
Learn how to find the strongest cell tower in your area

Inside (broadcast) antenna:

  • The ceiling-mounted Top Signal EDGE dome antenna works best in many situations. It broadcasts downward and all around in a shape similar to a donut or an inner tube. It usually gives more broad, even coverage than a wall-mounted panel antenna and is less noticeable than a panel antenna. Installing a dome antenna does, however, require that you have access above the ceiling to pull cable and mount the antenna.
  • The wall-mounted Top Signal EDGE panel antenna broadcasts forward in a sideways teardrop shape. It’s a better option if you don’t have access above your ceiling or if you want to mount the antenna on the outside perimeter of the area you want to cover. It’s also a good option for long, narrow indoor areas.

If you’re uncertain which antennas will work best for you, please call us at 435-634-6800. Our technical support representatives will be happy to discuss your specific requirements and give you a recommendation based on years of professional experience.

How much area will the CEL-FI GO G41 FN cover?

The coverage area this in-building cellular coverage solution can provide depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside signal strength received by the donor antenna.
  • The outside antenna you use.
  • The length of coax cable between the outside antenna and the booster. (Always use the shortest cable possible for this run.)
  • The type of antennas you choose (dome or panel) and where you position them.
  • Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
  • The cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency SMH and CLR signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.

Powerful Signal has has been designing and installing cellular amplification systems since 2007. Please call us at 435-634-6800 or contact us online, and we’ll be happy to calculate the coverage area this system will provide in your building and answer any other questions about this amplifier.
