Product Description

Features of the Rural SureCall Fusion4Home Max

  • Designed for homes 8 to 10 miles or more from a cell tower and with a reasonable line of sight to the tower.
  • Up to 72 dB gain for small homes and home offices, with coverage for up to 5,000 square feet, depending on outside signal strength. (Learn more about indoor coverage.)
  • Features SureCall’s patented Extended Range Technology™ (ERT): An inline amplifier compensates for the signal loss between the outside antenna and the main booster, providing 30 percent more indoor coverage area.* SureCall’s patented 2XP technology and inline amplifier placement doubles the transmit power back to the cell tower.*
  • Your choice of high-gain outdoor antenna: (Which antenna should I choose?)
  • 44″ directional antenna with 11.2 to 13.1 dBi of gain, the strongest signal increase of any LPDA (wideband Yagi) antenna we carry.
  • 30″ omnidirectional antenna with 4.0 to 6.0 dBi of gain, 58 percent more than our standard cylinder omni antenna.
  • The Top Signal EDGE panel antenna has 5 to 8 dBi of gain and multiple mounting options for easy and convenient setup. (Learn more.)
  • Flexible, easy-to-install RG6 coax cable connects the outside inline amplifier to the booster.
  • Booster and inline amplifier both have sturdy metal cases with heat sinks.
  • Booster includes automatic gain control (AGC) with optional manual controls for fine tuning indoor coverage.
  • Improves 5G and 4G/LTE service for all major U.S. and Canadian carriers. (Learn more about 5G compatibility.)
  • 3-year manufacturer’s warranty on the booster and 90‑day return on all components in the kit.

The Rural SureCall Fusion4Home Max improves cellular reception in small homes and home offices The Fusion4Home Max’s innovative design includes an inline amplifier that increases the strength of the ambient outdoor signal before sending it down the coax cable to the main booster; this means the booster can provide better coverage, connectivity, and data performance for phones and other cellular devices.*

Enhancing that signal further, this rural system adds a high-gain wideband donor antenna. The high-gain LPDA directional antenna has an average of 2½ times the gain (+4 dB) of a standard LPDA antenna, while the high-gain omnidirectional antenna has nearly 60 percent more gain (+2 dB) than a typical omni antenna. Adding a high-gain antenna increases the range the Fusion4Home system can pick up cellular signal and send it to the booster.

* Compared to the regular SureCall Fusion4Home system (SC-PolyH-72-YP).

Who is the Rural SureCall Fusion4Home Max for?

  • Small to midsized homes in remote locations with weak cell service.
  • Small to midsized homes with building materials that block outside cell signal (steel, glass, concrete, plaster, etc.).
  • Basements and other below-ground rooms where cell reception is poor.
  • Those who frequently experience dropped calls, undelivered texts, or slow cellular data at home.

Which antenna should I choose?

This system gives you the choice of a high-gain outdoor directional or omnidirectional antenna. Here are some general guidelines for selecting the right antenna.

  • The directional LPDA antenna works best if you have a direct (or nearly direct) line of sight to a specific, distant cell tower. This antenna will work if there is a distant feature blocking your view of the tower (like a hill or mountain), but you need to have a clear path for at least a few hundred yards from the antenna.
  • The cylindrical omnidirectional antenna will pick up signal from towers in all directions. It has lower gain and SINR than the LPDA, but it’s the best option if you have tall trees or other features on your property that are blocking a line of sight to your preferred tower.

If you’re still not certain which antenna will work best for you, please call us at 435-634-6800. Our technical support representatives will be happy to discuss your specific requirements and give you a recommendation based on years of professional experience.

Do-it-yourself installation

You can install the Rural SureCall Fusion4Home Max cell signal booster system yourself in a couple of hours. (See Documentation, below, to download the user manual and quick installation guide.)

Alternatively, you can have a professional install your booster system at additional cost. We recommend that you contact a local cable/satellite TV installer; the work required to install a cell signal booster is similar to installing a satellite dish TV service.

How the Rural SureCall Fusion4Home Max works

Using SureCall’s patented Extended Range Technology™, the Fusion4Home booster receives the outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your home through a wall-mounted panel antenna. An inline amplifier increases the signal strength between the outside high-gain antenna and the booster, compensating for signal loss and providing more signal for the booster to amplify. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your home’s construction materials interfere with signals from the local cell tower.

Works with all major cellular carriers

The Rural SureCall Fusion4Home Max works with all works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, DISH Wireless, UScellular, GCI Alaska, and most others.

It operates on common cellular frequencies.

  • 700 MHz (SMH) bands 12, 13, 17.
  • 850 MHz (Cellular 850) band 5.
  • 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) band 4.
  • 1900 MHz (PCS) bands 2, 25.

Mounting options for the Top Signal EDGE flex-mount panel antenna

The Top Signal EDGE panel antenna has four installation configurations:

  1. Mount it vertically (forward-facing) on a drillable wall with a bracket and screws (included).
  2. Stand it up vertically (forward-facing) on any flat surface, such as a bookcase, shelf, table, or desk.
  3. Mount it horizontally (downward-facing) on a drillable ceiling with a threaded post and nut (included).
  4. Because the antenna is so light (only 14 oz./0.4 kg), you may also mount it horizontally or vertically using Command™ Strips or similar adhesives (not included).

The back of the panel includes a channel for the pigtail cable so it will mount flush against walls and ceilings.

Command™ brand is a trademark of 3M.

How much area will the Rural SureCall Fusion4Home Max cover?

This system comes with one inside panel antenna. With strong outside cell signal (−95 dBm RSRP or greater), it can cover up to 5,000 square feet of indoor building space with 700 MHz signal.

The size of the coverage area depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside cell signal strength received by the outside donor antenna.
  • Inside building materials. Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.
  • Cellular frequencies used by the carrier and the device. Lower-frequency 700 MHz and Cellular (850 MHz) signals travel farther than higher-frequency PCS (1900 MHz) and AWS (1700/2100 MHz).

Substandard or inadequate conditions in any of these factors will reduce your coverage area.

Powerful Signal has has been designing and installing cellular amplification systems since 2007. Please call us at 435-634-6800 or contact us online and we’ll be happy to calculate the coverage area this system will provide in your building and answer any other questions about this amplifier.
