Product Description

Features of the Rural SureCall Fusion5s 2.0 cell signal booster

  • Designed for homes 8 to 10 miles or more from a cell tower and with a reasonable line of sight to the tower.
  • Maximum gain (up to 72 dB) provides excellent coverage for homes and small offices up to 15,000 square feet.
  • Strongest downlink power of any consumer booster from a leading manufacturer for a stronger data connection from distant cell towers.
  • Your choice of high-gain outdoor antenna: (Which antenna should I choose?)
  • 44″ directional antenna with 11.2 to 13.1 dBi of gain, the strongest signal increase of any LPDA (wideband Yagi) antenna we carry.
  • 30″ omnidirectional antenna with 4.0 to 6.0 dBi of gain, 58 percent more than our standard cylinder omni antenna.
  • The EDGE panel antenna has 5 to 8 dBi of gain and multiple mounting options for easy and convenient setup. (Learn more.)
  • Sturdy metal case with heat sink.
  • Automatic gain control with optional manual controls for fine tuning indoor coverage.
  • Includes 400 coax cable and commercial-grade antennas and components.
  • Carrier agnostic: Works with all major U.S. and Canadian carriers.
  • Improves 5G and 4G/LTE service for voice, text, and data. (Learn more about 5G compatibility.)

The SureCall Fusion5s 2.0 is designed for small to midsized homes and small offices that need improved cell signal reception throughout the building. The Fusion5s improves both voice and data to reduce dropped calls and missed emails and texts, keeping your family members, friends, employees, and customers connected with a stronger cell signal.

For the best possible signal, this system combines the Fusion5s booster with a high-gain wideband donor antenna. The high-gain LPDA (directional) antenna has an average of 2½ times the gain (+4 dB) of a standard LPDA antenna, while the high-gain omnidirectional antenna has 60 percent more gain (+2 dB) than a typical omni antenna.

Top Signal Rural cell signal booster TS115728-HG with high-gain antenna installed on a house The 44″ high-gain directional antenna highly focuses the outdoor signal strength between the cell tower and the cell signal booster. (Click to enlarge.)

Who is the Rural SureCall Fusion5s 2.0 signal booster for?

  • Buildings in remote locations with weak cell service (rural areas, farms, cabins, new housing developments, etc.).
  • Homes 8 to 10 miles or more from a cell tower.
  • Structures with building materials that block outside cell signal (metal, plaster, concrete, UV-coated windows, etc.).
  • Homes with basements, theater rooms, metal out-buildings, and other places where cell reception is poor.

Which antenna should I choose?

This system gives you the choice of a high-gain outdoor directional or omnidirectional antenna. Here are some general guidelines for selecting the right antenna.

  • The directional LPDA antenna works best if you have a direct (or nearly direct) line of sight to a specific, distant cell tower. This antenna will work if there is a distant feature blocking your view of the tower (like a hill or mountain), but you need to have a clear path for at least a few hundred yards from the antenna.
  • The cylindrical omnidirectional antenna will pick up signal from towers in all directions. It has lower gain and SINR than the LPDA, but it’s the best option if you have tall trees or other features on your property that are blocking a line of sight to your preferred tower.

If you’re still not certain which antenna will work best for you, please call us at 435-634-6800. Our technical support representatives will be happy to discuss your specific requirements and give you a recommendation based on years of professional experience.

Do-it-yourself installation

You can install the Top Signal Rural cell signal booster yourself in a couple of hours. (See Documentation, below, to download the user manual and quick installation guide.)

Alternatively, you can have a professional install your booster system at additional cost. We recommend that you contact a local cable/satellite TV installer; the work required to install a cell signal booster is similar to installing a satellite dish TV service.

How the SureCall Fusion5s 2.0 works

Using SureCall’s patented SureIQ™ technology, the Fusion5s receives the outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your home through a ceiling-mounted dome antenna or wall-mounted panel antenna. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your home’s construction materials interfere with signals from the local cell tower.

Works with all major cellular carriers

The SureCall Fusion5s 2.0 works with all works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, DISH Wireless, UScellular, GCI Alaska, and most others.

It operates on common cellular frequencies.

  • 700 MHz (SMH) bands 12, 13, 17.
  • 850 MHz (Cellular 850) band 5.
  • 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) band 4.
  • 1900 MHz (PCS) bands 2, 25.

Mounting options for the Top Signal EDGE flex-mount panel antenna

The Top Signal EDGE panel antenna has four installation configurations:

  1. Mount it vertically (forward-facing) on a drillable wall with a bracket and screws (included).
  2. Stand it up vertically (forward-facing) on any flat surface, such as a bookcase, shelf, table, or desk.
  3. Mount it horizontally (downward-facing) on a drillable ceiling with a threaded post and nut (included).
  4. Because the antenna is so light (only 14 oz./0.4 kg), you may also mount it horizontally or vertically using Command™ Strips or similar adhesives (not included).

The back of the panel includes a channel for the pigtail cable so it will mount flush against walls and ceilings.

Command™ brand is a trademark of 3M.

How much area will the Rural SureCall Fusion5s 2.0 cover?

The coverage area this system can provide depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside signal strength received by the donor antenna.
  • Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
  • The cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency SMH and CLR signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.

Powerful Signal has has been designing and installing cellular amplification systems since 2007. Please call us at 435-634-6800 or contact us online, and we’ll be happy to calculate the coverage area this system will provide in your building and answer any other questions about this amplifier.
