The Drive Reach is the newest-generation cell phone signal booster for vehicles from Wilson Electronics. With its industry-leading uplink power (28.3–29.5 dBm), the Drive Reach will let you travel twice as far from cell towers compared to other boosters and still make a connection.

The 82″ RFI Q-Fit® marine antenna provides 4.5 to 8.5 dBi of signal gain, sending stronger signal to the Drive Reach booster for better inside cellular coverage and a stronger connection to the cell tower.

The inside Top Signal EDGE panel antenna can be placed where you need signal the most—the dining area, the helm, etc.—and moved as needed. You can also mount the EDGE panel antenna on a wall or ceiling with the mounting bracket (included) or with Command® Strips or similar adhesives (purchased separately). Ten feet of thin, flexible LMR195 coax cable connects the panel antenna to the booster.

Quick-release antenna for low-clearance passages

Many inland waterways have low minimum-clearance passages. The Great Loop, for example, has an absolute maximum overhead clearance above the water of 19′ 6″ (5.9 meters).

RFI’s Q‑Fit® threaded quick-release connector provides fast, easy takedown and setup for low-clearance areas. The antenna attaches and detaches from its base in seconds.

Do-it-yourself installation

You can install the Marine weBoost Drive Reach kit yourself; it does not require professional help.

  • You’ll need a standard-size 1-inch × 14 threaded marine mount for the omni marine antenna. (Powerful Signal offers a Shakespeare 4190 rail mount as an optional add‑on, above.)
  • Run the RG58 coax cable to the booster unit, securing the cable to the mast, tower, or hull. Use the 1′ FME-male/SMB-female jumper cable (included) to complete the connection to the booster.
    (If you use a 400 coax extension, the connection will be: RG58 cable → N‑female/FME‑male adapter → 400 coax → N‑female/SMA‑male RG58 jumper cable → SMA‑female/SMB‑female adapter → booster.)
  • Place the inside antenna on a flat surface or mount it on a bulkhead in the compartment where you need improved signal.
  • Run the LMR195 coax cable from the inside antenna to the booster. Use the included adapters to attach the cable to the SMB connector on the booster and N connector on the panel antenna.
  • Plug in the booster using the AC or DC power supply cables.
  • If the booster’s status light is solid red or blinking green/red, change the direction the inside panel antenna is pointing. (It should be facing away from outside antenna.)

Optional add-on power supplies

If you want to use your weBoost Drive Reach with an AC power source, we offer an optional 120V AC power supply.

We also offer an optional 12V DC hardwire power supply with an inline 3-amp fuse. The hardwire kit connects directly to your vessel’s DC power system, freeing up a 12V power socket and allowing for a less-cluttered installation.
