The Cel-Fi GO X is an in-building cell signal booster that provides maximum gain for the carrier of your choice. Other home boosters amplify signals from all carriers simultaneously with lower signal gain; the Cel-Fi GO X amplifies one carrier at a time—your choice of Verizon, AT&T, T‑Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, or GCI Alaska—and provides stronger signal gain on that carrier’s best frequencies.

  • Use the outside directional LPDA antenna when you need to pull in signal from one distant cell phone tower.

One inside antenna

A one-antenna Cel-Fi GO X system will cover most homes of typical size. The different cable lengths in this kit will give you the maximum flexibility in setting up your GO X. Connect one length of cable to the outside antenna and one or two of the other lengths to the inside antenna. Use the barrel connector to attach two lengths of cable together, if necessary, always remembering to use the shortest lengths of cable possible.

Two inside antennas

A two-antenna Cel-Fi GO X system will cover most large homes. It’s also a good solution if your house has two specific problem areas you want to fix. Like the one-antenna solution, this kit includes different lengths coax cable and a barrel connector so you can use exactly the right amount of cable. (Adequate outside signal is needed to split signal two ways.)

Three or four inside antennas

A three- or four-antenna Cel-Fi GO X system is designed for the largest homes. It also works well in small offices in which all cellular devices are using the same carrier. (Strong outside signal is required to split signal three or four ways.)

How it works

Using Nextivity’s IntelliBoost signal processing, the Cel-Fi GO X receives the outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your home or small office through one to four inside antennas. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where building materials interfere with signals from the local cell tower.

Works with most major cellular carriers

This Cel-Fi GO X Smart Signal Booster system works with Verizon 5G/4G LTE cellular bands and AT&T, T‑Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and GCI Alaska 5G/4G LTE/3G cellular bands. It does not work with other cellular networks, and it does not boost Verizon 3G.

The Cel-Fi GO X operates on two cellular bands simultaneously from a single carrier. It will support only one carrier at a time.

Which antennas should I choose?

This system gives you the choice of an outdoor directional or omnidirectional antenna and one or more indoor dome or panel antennas. Here are some general guidelines for choosing the right antennas.

Outside (donor) antenna:

  • The cylindrical omnidirectional antenna works well in most situations. An omni antenna gathers signal from all carrier towers in all directions, and it’s also easier to set up.
  • The wedge-shaped directional antenna (LPDA) works best if your home has a direct line of sight to a specific cell tower that provides service for your cellular network. The directional antenna is also an excellent choice if another carrier has a powerful cell tower nearby, but you need to bypass that tower in favor of a more distant one operated by your preferred carrier. A directional antennas needs to be tuned, so its setup is more involved than an omni antenna’s.

Inside (broadcast) antenna:

  • The ceiling-mounted dome antenna works best in most situations. It broadcasts downward and all around in a shape similar to a donut or an inner tube. It usually gives more broad, even coverage than a wall-mounted panel antenna and is less noticeable than a panel antenna. Installing a dome antenna does, however, require that you have access above the ceiling to pull cable and mount the antenna.
  • A wall-mounted panel antenna broadcasts forward in a sideways teardrop shape. It’s a better option if you don’t have access above your ceiling or if you want to mount the antenna on the outside perimeter of the area you want to cover. It’s also a good option for long, narrow indoor areas.

How much area will the Cel-Fi GO X cover?

The coverage area this system can provide depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside signal strength received by the donor antenna.
  • The number of antennas you select for your system.
  • The type of antennas you choose (dome or panel) and where you position them.
  • Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
  • The cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency SMH and CLR signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.
