The weBoost SXS pairs weBoost’s most powerful in-vehicle amplifier, the Drive Reach, with a weatherproof enclosure and a roll cage antenna mount built for off-road use. It fits sport, utility, recreational, and crossover machines from Polaris, Can-Am, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, and others.
The SXS transmits at up to 26 dBm of uplink power, which is what lets your phone reach a distant tower from a ridge or a canyon bottom where it would otherwise show no bars.
Stay connected longer and experience fewer dropped calls, undelivered texts, and missed messages, in the places where losing signal matters most.
Anyone who works or rides where the pavement ends and the bars disappear.
The kit fits 2-seater sport machines like the Polaris RZR and Can-Am Maverick, 2-seater work and utility machines like the Polaris Ranger and Can-Am Defender, and 4-seater enclosed machines like the Polaris Xpedition.
A standard vehicle booster assumes it lives inside a sealed cab. On a side-by-side there often isn’t one, so the weBoost SXS puts the amplifier inside a weatherproof enclosure with protective rubber strips and its own mounting hardware. Multiple built-in mounting points let you secure it to the roll cage, under the seat, or in the cargo bed, depending on what your machine has room for.
The outside antenna mounts on a roll cage clamp sized for 1.75″ to 2″ bars. A quick-release adapter lets you pull the antenna off in seconds without tools, so it isn’t in the way during transport, storage, or a trip through the wash bay.
If your machine already has whip light mounts, the antenna will go there instead. It also threads onto any standard 3⁄8-24 antenna base. A 13″ mast extension, antenna spring, and thread lock pack are all in the box, so you can set the antenna height and let it flex on low branches rather than snap.
Installing the weBoost SXS is simple and fast. It does not require professional help; you can do it yourself with basic hand tools.
The installation runs in six steps: assemble the outside antenna, clamp it to the roll cage, mount the booster enclosure, mount the inside antenna, connect power, then seal the enclosure.
See the Documentation section to download the installation guide.
The weBoost app measures signal performance, pinpoints the nearest cell tower, and shows your cell signal strength before and after installation. It includes step-by-step setup instructions and how-to videos for weBoost products.
This is a complete kit, with everything you need to start getting the best signal on your machine:
Using Wilson Electronics’ patented technology, the weBoost SXS receives the outside cell signal through the Overland antenna on your roll cage, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it through the inside antenna. This allows you to travel farther away from cell towers while staying connected.
Vehicle boosters operate under a federal 50 dB gain limit, which keeps the inside antenna’s usable range small: roughly one to two feet when the outside signal is weak. Mount the inside antenna where the phone actually rides, such as a dash mount, a cubby, or a pocket on the cage within arm’s reach of the driver. A phone across the machine in a cargo box will not see much benefit.
The weBoost SXS works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Boost Mobile, UScellular, GCI Alaska, and most others.
It operates on common cellular frequencies.
