Product Description

Features of the weBoost Drive Reach Desktop system

  • weBoost’s most powerful mobile 5G/4G cell phone signal booster. With its increased uplink power, the Drive Reach can get signal from towers that are twice as distant as other competing vehicle boosters.
  • The Top Signal desktop tower antenna (TS210601) brings the power of the Drive Reach to your RV, kitchen, home office, houseboat—anywhere with a flat surface and a nearby window.
  • With the Drive Reach’s dashboard-mounted low-profile antenna, the booster can also be used in cars and trucks.
  • Easy SMA and SMB antenna connections make installation simple and fast.
  • The Drive Reach requires a 12-volt DC power source. Use your RV’s 12-volt power socket, a rechargeable battery with a 12-volt power socket, or an AC-to-DC converter rated at 5.4 amps or more.
  • Boosts cell signal for multiple users simultaneously.
  • Boosts 5G, 4G LTE, and 3G service for voice, text, and data. (Learn more about 5G compatibility.)
  • Works with all major U.S. carriers and networks.

The weBoost Drive Reach is the next-generation cell phone signal booster for vehicles from Wilson Electronics. With an industry-leading 28.3 to 29.5 dBm of uplink power, the Drive Reach will connect to cell towers twice as far away as other boosters.

The desktop antenna connects to the Drive Reach with ten feet of flexible 195 coax cable. The antenna sits on any flat surface, including tables, countertops, and shelves, and is easy to move anywhere you need better signal.

Stay connected longer with the strongest cell signal and experience fewer dropped calls, undelivered texts, and missed email messages. Keep your data moving faster in areas with weak cell service, obstructions, and long distances from cell phone towers.

Who is the weBoost Drive Reach Desktop system for?

  • Those who frequently experience dropped calls, undelivered texts, or slow data rates at home.
  • RVs and fifth wheels that need the best possible cell signal while parked and underway.
  • Those who spend most of their time in the same workroom or office and need improved cellular reception in their workspace.
  • Those who need a booster for vehicle use and home use.
  • Apartment renters, college students, and others who are unable to place an antenna on the roof and pull cables through the walls.
  • Homes in remote locations with weak cell service (new communities, rural areas, cabins, etc.).
  • Homes with building materials that block outside cell signal (metal, plaster, concrete, UV-coated windows, etc.).

Do-it-yourself installation

Installing the weBoost Drive Reach Desktop system is simple and fast. It does not require professional help; you can do it yourself in minutes. (Items included in the kit are noted in red italics.)

  • Affix the circular metal ground plane outside a window or other small opening. Mount it level (horizontal to the ground) using epoxy or other adhesive appropriate to the surface.
  • Attach the outside magnet-mount antenna to the ground plane. The mag-mount antenna should be vertical when it’s mounted.
  • Run the mag-mount antenna’s coax cable in through the window or opening. Use as much of the cable length as possible so there is separation between the outside and inside antennas.
  • Plug the mag-mount coax cable into the port on the weBoost Drive Reach booster labeled outside antenna.
  • Place the desktop tower antenna on a level surface in the area where you need improved cell signal. This spot could be the table in your RV, the desk in your office, or other similar area. Try to get as much separation as possible between the outside mag-mount antenna and inside desktop antenna.
  • Twist the threaded SMA-male connector on the 10-foot 195 coax cable onto the port on the back of the desktop antenna. Do not overtighten or use tools.
  • Run the other end of the 195 coax cable to the Drive Reach booster and plug it into the port on the booster labeled inside antenna.
  • Plug the small end of the 12-volt power supply cable into the power port on the Drive Reach booster.
  • Plug the large end of the power supply cable into a 12-volt power port. This power port can be one in your RV, or you can use an AC-to-DC converter (output 5.4 amps or more), or you can plug it into a rechargeable Li-on battery that has a 12-volt port.

How it works

Using Wilson Electronics’ patented technology, the Drive Reach Desktop system receives the outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it to a desktop-sized area. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your building’s construction materials interfere with signals from the local cell tower.

Works with all major cellular carriers

The weBoost Drive Reach Desktop system works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T‑Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most others.

It operates on common cellular frequencies.

  • 700 MHz (SMH) bands 12, 13, 17.
  • 850 MHz (Cellular 850) band 5.
  • 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) band 4.
  • 1900 MHz (PCS) bands 2, 25.
