Who is the WilsonPro 70 PLUS for?

What is a refurbished WilsonPro system?

WilsonPro refurbished cell signal booster systems were purchased by customers who returned them to the manufacturer. They may have been used briefly or may not have been used at all.

The manufacturer has inspected and tested each cell signal booster to ensure that it’s in good working order. Any damaged or non-working components have been replaced with new, working ones. The booster or its components may have cosmetic blemishes from a previous installation.

The WilsonPro 70 PLUS system includes 400-type coax cable to connect the amplifier to the inside antennas. If your building requires fire-rated cable in plenum spaces, please ask us about upgrading to ½‑inch plenum air coax. Plenum cable fully meets state and federal building codes.

Plenum cable also has nearly half the signal loss per foot of cable compared to 400-type coax cable, delivering stronger signal from the WilsonPro amplifier to your phones and other cellular devices.

How the WilsonPro 70 PLUS works

Using Wilson Electronics’ patented SmarTech III® technology, the WilsonPro 70 PLUS receives the outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your office through a ceiling-mounted dome antenna. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your office’s building materials interfere with signals from the local cell tower.

The WilsonPro 70 PLUS works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T‑Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most others.

It operates on common 4G/3G cellular frequencies.

700 MHz (SMH) bands 12, 13, 17.

1700/2100 MHz (AWS) band 4.
1900 MHz (PCS) bands 2, 25.

Which antennas should I choose?

This kit gives you the choice of an indoor panel antenna or dome antenna. Here are some general guidelines for choosing the right antenna for your use:

A ceiling-mounted dome antenna works best in most circumstances. It broadcasts downward in a spherical shape (similar to the shape of a light bulb) and usually gives more broad, even coverage than a panel antenna. A dome is also less noticeable than a wall-mounted panel. The dome antenna does, however, require access above the ceiling to pull cable and attach it to the antenna.
A wall-mounted panel antenna works best if you don’t have access above your ceiling or if you need to mount the broadcast antenna on the outside perimeter of the area you want to cover. The panel antenna broadcasts forward in a wedge shape (similar to beam from a flashlight).

How much area will the WilsonPro 70 PLUS cover?

This system comes with a panel antenna and a dome antenna. The area of improved cellular coverage from these antennas depends on many factors, including:

Outside cell signal strength received by the donor antenna.
Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
Cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency LTE and 800 MHz signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)
The type of antenna you install. (As described above, a dome antenna will usually provide more total coverage than a panel antenna.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.
