Features of the WilsonPro 1100

  • Provides coverage for offices, hospitals, campuses, warehouses, and other midsized and large facilities.
  • Increased uplink power (24–25 dBm) for a stronger connection to the cell tower and better performance in areas with weak cellular signal.
  • Built-in XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range) technology prevents overload and shutdown, no matter how strong the outside signal.
  • Color LCD touch screen displays the status and gain of each cellular band and allows you adjust the amplifier’s settings.
  • Wall-mounted with antenna ports on the top, with a compact size (9″ ᴡ × 10″ ʜ × 2″ ᴅ) that easily fits in your I.T. closet or other convenient, out-of-the-way room.
  • Choice of outside and inside antennas at no additional charge. (Get help picking the right antennas.)
  • Boosts 5G, 4G LTE, and 3G service for voice, text, and data. (Learn more about 5G compatibility.)
  • Carrier agnostic: Works with all major U.S. cellular carriers and networks.

The WilsonPro 1100 is Wilson Electronics’ next-generation professional-grade cell signal amplifier for medium-sized and large buildings.

The Pro 1100 is a wall-mounted, single-amplifier system that can cover 40,000 to 50,000 square feet with two inside broadcast antennas (with sufficient outside signal strength) for improved cellular coverage in multiple areas of your building.

The WilsonPro 1100’s on-board software continuously monitors and adjusts the amplifier’s gain level, as needed. With Wilson’s patented XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range) technology, the Pro 1100 will never overpower, shut down, or experience oscillation between the inside and outside antennas.

The color LCD touch screen allow installers and administrators to monitor gain on each cellular band and disable specific bands, if needed.

Who is the WilsonPro 1100 for?

  • Rectangular, long, and two-story buildings.
  • Office buildings, medical/business/education/government campuses, warehouses/distribution centers, and other multi-floor and/or large buildings.
  • Buildings in urban locations with building materials that block outside cell signal (steel, low-e glass, concrete, plaster, etc.).
  • Buildings with floor space below ground level, and other places where cell reception is poor.
  • Building in rural and remote locations, where outside cellular signal is weak.
  • Those who have heavy cellular user and data loads.
  • Those who frequently experience dropped calls, undelivered texts, or slow data rates.

Optional plenum air coax cable upgrade

The WilsonPro 1100 system includes 400-type coax cable that connects the amplifier to the inside broadcast antennas. If your building requires fire-rated cable in plenum spaces, please ask us about upgrading to ½-inch plenum air coax. Plenum cable fully meets state and federal building codes.

Plenum cable also has nearly half the signal loss per foot of cable compared to 400-type coax cable, providing stronger signal from your WilsonPro 1100 and a wider indoor coverage area.

(Plenum air cable is available at additional cost. Call Powerful Signal at 866-912-3444 for details.)

How the WilsonPro 1100 works

The WilsonPro 1100 receives available outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your building. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your building’s construction materials interfere with signals from local cell towers.

Works with all major cellular carriers

The WilsonPro 1100 works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, UScellular, and most others.

It operates on common cellular frequencies.

  • 700 MHz (SMH) bands 12, 13, 17.
  • 850 MHz (Cellular 850) band 5.
  • 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) band 4.
  • 1900 MHz (PCS) bands 2, 25.

Which antennas should I choose?

This kit gives you the choice of an outdoor directional or omnidirectional antenna and two indoor ultra-thin dome or regular dome antennas. Here are some general guidelines for selecting the right antennas.

Outside (donor) antenna:

  • A cylinder omnidirectional antenna works best in most circumstances. The omni gathers signal from all carrier towers in all directions.
  • A wedge-shaped LPDA directional antenna works best if your building is in a remote location with one single, distant tower providing cell service for your area. The LPDA is also an excellent choice if there’s a powerful cell tower nearby but you need to bypass that tower in favor of a more distant one operated by your preferred carrier.

Inside (broadcast) antenna:

  • A ceiling-mounted EDGE dome antenna works best in most circumstances. It broadcasts downward in a spherical shape (similar to the shape of a donut) with more gain than traditional dome antennas (3.5–6.0 dBi). This antenna includes the hardware needed to mount it to drywall, drop, and hard deck ceilings. (Learn more.)
  • A ceiling-mounted regular dome antenna also broadcasts downward in a spherical shape. It mounts to drywall and drop ceilings. (Learn more.)

If you’re still not certain which antennas will work best for you, please call us at 866-912-3444. Our technical support representatives will be happy to discuss your specific requirements and give you a recommendation based on years of professional experience.

How much area will the WilsonPro 1100 cover?

This system comes with two inside antennas that broadcast improved cellular signal in a spherical pattern. The radius of that circle depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside cell signal strength received by the donor antenna.
  • Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
  • Cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency LTE and 800 MHz signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.

Powerful Signal has over a decade of experience designing and installing cellular amplification systems. Please call us at 866-912-3444 or contact us online, and we’ll be happy to calculate the coverage area this system will provide in your building and answer any other questions about this amplifier.

Some online retailers claim that a one-antenna WilsonPro commercial system will provide 50,000 square feet of coverage. That figure is unrealistic under typical conditions, and Powerful Signal warns consumers against purchasing WilsonPro systems from retailers who make such exaggerated claims.
