Features of the RV Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G with Poynting “Badger” 4×4 MIMO antenna
- Converts 4G/LTE and 5G cellular signal to WiFi, creating a wireless network that can be used by laptops, tablets, smart TVs, and other WiFi-enabled devices using your cellular data plan. (SIM card required.)
- Dual SIM card slot supports two data plans. Includes support for WiFi 6, WiFi WAN, and Ethernet WAN. Onboard software allows you to prioritize which data source the router will prefer and which ones it will fail over to.
- The Poynting MIMO-3-17 “Badger” 4×4 MIMO antenna receives cellular signal from the cell tower and transmits WiFi signal from the Peplink router. One antenna on the roof of your RV, trailer, or van is all you need to convert cellular signal and create a large area of WiFi coverage. The “Badger” MIMO antenna includes seven thin 6.6′ coax cables bundled in a braided nylon sleeve. (Learn more.)
- Two Ethernet LAN gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000/2500 Mbps) ports and one Ethernet WAN 2.5 gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000/2500 Mbps) port.
- GPIO power port with 120V AC/DC adapter.
- The low-profile metal enclosure (5.8″ × 5.1″ × 1.2″) is easy to install in tight spaces.
- Operates on a wider range of cellular bands than consumer cell signal boosters. (See below.)
- Certified by AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Works with all major U.S. cellular carriers and networks.
- Includes Peplink’s one-year warranty plus a one-year subscription to Peplink PrimeCare+ service.
- With a PrimeCare+ add-on package, you can extend your router’s warranty, continue to use Peplink’s InControl² cloud-based management and SpeedFusion services, and get 24/7 email support. (Learn more.)
The Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G receives wireless cellular signal and converts it to WiFi, creating a large WiFi “hotspot” in your RV, motorhome, motor coach, fifth wheel, trailer, van, or other vehicle. With the Pro 5G router, computers, tablets, smart TVs, and other WiFi devices can use your cellular data plan to access the internet.
The Poynting MIMO-3-17 MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) antenna sends and receives signal to the cell tower through four simultaneous data streams, providing improved signal strength and quality. The same antenna also broadcasts 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi signal through twin MIMO connections.

SIM card required (important—please read)
To use the Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G as a cellular–WiFi router, you must have an activated nano-SIM card with a data plan. You can obtain a SIM card from your cellular carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) and add it as an additional line on your existing plan. You can also purchase SIM cards from many retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy; the data plan will either have a recurring monthly payment or will be a prepaid “pay-as-you-go” plan.
Who is the Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G with Poynting “Badger” 4×4 MIMO antenna for?
- Class A motorhomes (30–45 feet long).
- Class C motorhomes (20–30 feet long).
- Class B vans, including the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Dodge Promaster, and others.
- Fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, and other towables.
- Government agencies with RVs that serve as mobile command posts (police, disaster recovery, etc.).
- Anyone who needs the best, most reliable WiFi connectivity in their RV or towable.
Because the Poynting antenna broadcasts WiFi signal from the exterior roof of your vehicle, this system is not best-suited for RVs or towables with metal exteriors, like Airstream® trailers.
The Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G router works best in areas where outside cellular signal is fair or moderate. For locations with weak cellular signal, a cell signal booster may be a better option in your RV, trailer, or van. If you have any questions about which option is right for you, please feel free to contact Powerful Signal—we’ll be happy to help you!
