Product Description

This WilsonPro 710i system amplifies only T-Mobile band 71 (600 MHz). For wideband coverage with support for multiple carriers, see the WilsonPro Enterprise 1300 commercial cell signal booster.

Features of the WilsonPro 710i cell signal booster

  • Amplifies T-Mobile 600 MHz band 71. (Learn more about band 71.)
  • Provides coverage for offices, hospitals, campuses, warehouses, and other commercial and public facilities, as well as large and custom homes.
  • This is a high-gain booster with up to 90 dB of gain and 24–25 dBm of uplink and downlink power. Even with weak outside signal, it can provide band 71 coverage for a large indoor area. (Learn more.)
  • Built-in XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range) technology prevents overload and shutdown, no matter how strong the outside signal.
  • Color LCD touch screen displays the status and gain and allows you adjust the amplifier’s settings.
  • Wall-mounted with antenna ports on the top, with a compact size (9″ ᴡ × 10″ ʜ × 2″ ᴅ) that easily fits in your I.T. closet or other convenient, out-of-the-way room.
  • Outside directional antenna points in the direction of the T-Mobile cell tower. (Learn more).
  • Inside EDGE dome antenna mounts to drop ceilings, ceiling panels, and hard-deck ceilings. (Learn more.)
  • This is an industrial booster. Carrier approval must be obtained to operate the WilsonPro 710i. (Learn more.)

The WilsonPro 710i cell signal booster is the only band 71-specific commercial-grade cellular amplifier available for less than $1,500. It boosts T-Mobile’s 600 MHz cellular service used in rural and remote areas. The Pro 710i is wall-mounted and can cover up to 50,000 square feet with one inside broadcast antenna (with sufficient outside signal strength).

The WilsonPro 710i’s onboard software continuously monitors and adjusts the amplifier’s gain level, as needed. With Wilson’s patented XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range) technology, the Pro 710i will never overpower or shut down due to overly strong outside signal.

Who is the WilsonPro 710i for?

  • T-Mobile customers or businesses that need indoor T-Mobile band 71 service.
  • Office buildings, medical/business/education/government campuses, warehouses/distribution centers, and other multi-floor and/or large buildings.
  • Large and custom homes.
  • Buildings made from materials that block outside cell signal (steel, low-e glass, concrete, plaster, etc.).
  • Buildings with floor space below ground level, and other places where cell reception is poor.
  • Buildings in rural and remote locations, where outside cellular signal is weak.
  • Those who have heavy cellular user and data loads.
  • Those who frequently experience dropped calls, undelivered texts, or slow data rates.

The WilsonPro 710i requires carrier approval

Under the framework developed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the WilsonPro 710i is classified as an industrial signal boosterexternal link icon. You will need approval from T-Mobile (or your band 71 carrier, if it is someone other than T-Mobile) before installing the WilsonPro 710i and commissioning it on the network.

To obtain permission from T-Mobile, download their rebroadcast agreement (Microsoft Word .docx), complete it, and email it to rebroadcastagreements@t-mobile.com. We recommend including a simple system design sketch with your application, showing the location of the antennas, cables, and booster in your building. It may take several weeks for T-Mobile to approve your application.

If you need help completing the rebroadcast agreement, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Using the WilsonPro 710i in homes and small businesses

The WilsonPro 710i is a high-gain, high-powered booster designed for large indoor commercial spaces. Even with Wilson Electronics’s built-in XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range) technology, using the Pro 710i in a large home or small business increases the chances that the signal patterns from the inside and outside antennas will overlap each other and cause signal oscillation or booster shutdown.

To mitigate that potential issue, Powerful Signal’s WilsonPro 710i kit includes two attenuators. Attenuators reduce the signal the booster sends and receives from one of its antennas, reducing or eliminating signal oscillation. If you experience signal oscillation, one of our technical support specialists may recommend that you attenuate the signal the Pro 710i booster sends to and from the inside dome antenna by 10 dB, 20 dB, or 30 dB.

Optional plenum air coax cable upgrade

The WilsonPro 710i commercial cell signal booster system includes 400-type coax cable that connects the amplifier to the inside broadcast antenna. If your building requires fire-rated cable in plenum spacesexternal link icon, please ask us about upgrading to ½-inch plenum air coax. Plenum cable fully meets state and federal building codes.

Plenum cable also has nearly half the signal loss per foot of cable compared to 400-type coax cable, providing stronger signal from your WilsonPro 710i and a wider indoor coverage area.

(Plenum air cable is available at additional cost. Call Powerful Signal at 435-634-6800 for details.)

400-type coax cable and plenum air coax cable terminated with N-male connectors This system uses 400 coax (left), but you can upgrade to fire-rated plenum air coax cable (right) for building-code compliance and better performance.

How the WilsonPro 710i works

The WilsonPro 710i receives available outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your building. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your building’s construction materials interfere with signals from local cell towers.

How much area will the WilsonPro 710i cover?

This system comes with one dome antenna that broadcasts improved cellular signal in a spherical pattern. The radius of that circle depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside cell signal strength received by the donor antenna.
  • Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
  • Cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency LTE and 800 MHz signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.

Powerful Signal has has been designing and installing cellular amplification systems since 2007. Please call us at 435-634-6800 or contact us online, and we’ll be happy to calculate the coverage area this system will provide in your building and answer any other questions about this amplifier.
