The Poynting XPOL-1-5G+ 2×2 outdoor MIMO panel antenna increases the cellular signal received by the Nighthawk M6. The XPOL-1-5G+ contains two cross-polarized antennas for improved signal strength and superior signal quality, providing 2 to 6 dBi of gain in an enclosure that’s just 9.7″ × 6.2″ × 3.5″ (246 × 157 × 88 mm)—almost half the size of Poynting’s XPOL-2 antenna.* The antenna includes 16.4′ (5 m) of attached HDF195 coax cable. The Nighthawk M6 supports 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz WiFi 6 technology, offering faster data transfer and connectivity, support for up to 32 connected devices, and up to 2,000 square feet of coverage area.^†
The Nighthawk’s compact form factor—4.14″ × 4.14″ × 0.85″ (10.5 × 10.5 × 2.15 cm)—allows you take your Nighthawk M6 mobile hotspot when you’re away from home: business, hotel, car, RV/trailer, boat, hiking/camping, meetings/events, etc.
You can run your hotspot on AC or battery power. Its removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 9 hours of continuous usage.
The simple, intuitive 2.4″ (6.1 cm) LCD touchscreen lets you easily see the WiFi name, password, and cellular signal strength, and easily monitor data usage and manage device and network settings.
A 1 Gbps Ethernet port connects to computers, smart TVs, and other wired devices. (Ethernet cable not included.)
A USB type C connector powers the hotspot, recharges its battery, and can provide data to other devices via USB-C tethering.

SIM card required (important—please read)

To use the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 as a cellular router, you must have an activated nano-SIM card with a data plan. You can obtain a SIM card from your cellular carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) and add it to your existing data plan as an additional line. You can also purchase SIM cards from many retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy; the data plan will either have a recurring monthly payment or will be a prepaid “pay-as-you-go” plan.

A nano-SIM card is about the size of a fingernail.

Who is the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 with Poynting XPOL-1-5G+ panel antenna for?

The Poynting MIMO antenna provides stronger signal to the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 when available cellular signal is poor or fair.

Homes, apartments/condos, small offices, small- to medium-sized businesses, and temporary offices on construction sites that use a cellular router as the primary or backup option for internet service.
WiFi networks at events with up to 32 users (school, community, church, etc.).
Users of T-Mobile band 71, AT&T band 30, CBRS band 48, or C-Band band 77 as their internet service. (These bands aren’t amplified by cellular boosters.)
