Did 3G just die?

According to droidlife on July 16th 2018, Verizon has confirmed that it will no longer activate 3G cell phones. It has been no secret that 3G is dead, it was just a matter of when. It looks like as far as Verizon is concerned, the time is now.
The Bad News
The bad news for the cell signal booster industry is that 3G signal boosters will be a less viable option to improve cell signal. If 3G cell phones are going away, it only makes sense that the loss of 3G signal is right behind it. If you have a 3G cell signal booster, its time may be limited. If you are considering purchasing a cell signal booster, it would be wise to only go with 4G cell signal boosters if you are in the US.
The Good News
There is some good news in this confirmation by Verizon. 3G cell signal boosters will be of less value in the US, but other nearby countries such as Canada and Mexico will probably see a drop in 3G cell signal booster prices.
4G Cell Signal Boosters
All the major manufacturers of cell signal boosters produce 4G products. Some manufacturers still produce 3G kits, but it will be interesting to see how long this continues.
