Product Description

The WilsonPro 1050 has been discontinued. Please see our other WilsonPro cell signal booster solutions.

Features of the WilsonPro 1050 inline system

  • Unique design allows for the inside antenna to be placed farther from the main amplifier unit (up to 300 feet).
  • Provides coverage for office buildings, hospitals, campuses, warehouses, and other large facilities.
  • Wall-mounted, with antenna ports on the top; fits in any convenient, out-of-the-way room.
  • LCD setup screen and power meter.
  • Boosts 5G and 4G/LTE service for voice, text, and data. (Learn more about 5G compatibility.)
  • Carrier agnostic: Works with all major U.S. cellular carriers and networks.

The WilsonPro 1050 inline cellular DAS system is a wall-mounted, dual-amplifier system designed for long or tall buildings. The Pro 1050 system includes a small, inline amplifier that boosts the signal from the main amplifier on its way to the inside antenna.

The Pro 1050 allows for unique setups where the main amplifier has to be installed a long distance away from the inside broadcast antenna. For example, a 25-story high-rise office building needs improved cell signal only on the first floor; the rooftop antenna and main amplifier could be installed on the top floor, with 250 feet of 400 coax cable running to the bottom floor and the inline amplifier boosting the signal mid-way through the run of cable.

The Pro 1050 automatically controls both amplifiers with onboard software, and adjusts the gain level as needed. It can reduce its gain to prevent oscillation, and with Wilson’s XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range) technology, the Pro 1050 will never overpower or shut down.

The black-on-white LCD screen and 4-button controls allow installers and administrators to monitor and adjust the gain of the various cellular frequencies the Pro 1050 supports.

Works as a paired unit

Please note: The WilsonPro 1050’s main amplified and inline amplifier are paired and work only with each other. The main amplifier will not work without the inline amplifier, and the inline amplifier will not work with any other amplifier.

Who is the WilsonPro 1050 for?

  • Long or tall buildings that need a large amount of separation between the outside and inside antennas (up to 300 feet).
  • Buildings with floor space below ground level, like basements and sub-levels.
  • Office buildings, medical/business/education/government campuses, warehouses/distribution centers, and other multi-floor and/or large buildings.
  • Those who have heavy cellular user and data loads.
  • Those who frequently experience dropped calls, undelivered texts, or slow data rates.
  • Buildings in urban locations with building materials that block outside cell signal (steel, low-e glass, concrete, plaster, etc.).

Optional plenum air coax cable upgrade

The WilsonPro 1050 system includes 400-type coax cable to connect the main amplifier, the inline amplifier, and the inside antenna. If your building requires fire-rated cableexternal link icon in plenum spaces, please ask us about upgrading to ½-inch plenum air coax. Plenum cable fully meets state and federal building codes.

Plenum cable also has nearly half the signal loss per foot of cable compared to 400-type coax cable, delivering stronger signal from the WilsonPro amplifier to your phones and other cellular devices.

(Plenum air cable is available at additional cost. Call Powerful Signal at 435-634-6800 for details.)

400-type coax cable and plenum air coax cable terminated with N-male connectors This system uses 400 coax (left), but you can upgrade to fire-rated plenum air coax cable (right) for building-code compliance and better performance.

How the WilsonPro 1050 works

Using Wilson Electronics’s patented SmarTech III® technology, the WilsonPro 1050 receives the outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your office through four individual ports. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your office’s building materials interfere with signals from the local cell tower.

Works with all major cellular carriers

The WilsonPro 1050 works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, DISH Wireless, UScellular, GCI Alaska, and most others.

It operates on common cellular frequencies.

  • 700 MHz (SMH) bands 12, 13, 17.
  • 850 MHz (Cellular 850) band 5.
  • 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) band 4.
  • 1900 MHz (PCS) bands 2, 25.

How much area will the WilsonPro 1050 cover?

This system comes with one dome antenna that broadcasts improved cellular signal in a spherical pattern. The radius of that circle depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside cell signal strength received by the donor antenna.
  • Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
  • Cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency LTE and 800 MHz signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.

Powerful Signal has over a decade of experience designing and installing cellular amplification systems. Please call us at 435-634-6800 or contact us online, and we’ll be happy to calculate the coverage area this system will provide in your building and answer any other questions about this amplifier.
