Product Description

Features of the weBoost IoT Direct

  • Designed to link with a cellular data modem as a direct-connect amplifier.
  • Improves 5G and 4G/LTE cellular connectivity in weak signal environments. (Learn more about 5G compatibility.)
  • Configurable to almost any IoT (Internet of Things)/M2M (machine-to-machine) installation. The compact form factor easy to install next to or inside most machines.
  • Passive RF bypass failover allows the modem to continue operating if power is lost to the booster.
  • Auto-power control to help ensure maximum signal output.
  • Carrier agnostic: Works with all major US cellular carriers and networks.
  • Designed and assembled in St. George, Utah.

The weBoost IoT Direct is designed to amplify wireless cellular communications to and from unattended machine devices, including retail point-of-sale, kiosks, ATMs, remote monitoring/control, data backup, Internet failover, and other applications.

Based on the same proven technologies as Wilson Electronics’s other cellular DAS and booster systems but in a small form factor, the IoT Direct provides reliable data transfer in remote areas; in interior, data center, or basement rooms of commercial and industrial buildings; for cellular routers; and in other situations where cellular reception is weak or spotty.

Who is the weBoost IoT Direct for?

  • Remote monitoring and control devices deployed in areas with weak cell coverage (oil fields, farms, utilities, environmental tracking stations, etc.).
  • Vending machines and kiosks (ATMs, movie rental boxes, hot/cold beverages and snacks, ticketing machines, etc.).
  • Retail point-of-sale (POS) devices in remote areas or inside buildings that block cell reception.
  • Cellular modems used in remote locations where cable, DSL, and fiber internet aren’t available.
  • Automated data backup from computing devices in remote locations or buildings with poor inside cellular reception.
  • Data-transmission devices with wired communications that use cellular as a backup or failover option.
