  • Carrier-approved equipment throughout, in the FCC’s Part 20 consumer class or its Part 90 industrial class, depending on the system your building calls for. We tell you which class you are getting before you order. (See our FCC notice for consumer boosters or industrial boosters.)
  • Free lifetime support from Powerful Signal, the leader in improved in-building cellular signal.

Cellular FAST-DAS is an in-building cellular coverage solution sold by the area you need to cover rather than by the box. You pick the tier that matches your building. Powerful Signal engineers the system, supplies every component, installs it, and commissions it, all for one price agreed up front.

Most commercial cellular projects open with a design cycle that can run for months before anyone quotes a number. FAST-DAS compresses that by pre-engineering four solution tiers around the coverage levels commercial buildings actually ask for. The design work is still tailored to your floor plans, and the equipment is still chosen for your building. What changes is that the scope and the price are settled at the beginning instead of the end.

Powerful Signal is vendor-neutral. We build FAST-DAS systems with carrier-approved equipment from HiBoost, WilsonPro, and Nextivity, selecting the amplifier, the antenna count, and the layout that will perform best in your building rather than fitting your building to a predetermined equipment package. That judgment is part of what you are buying, which is why FAST-DAS is priced as a solution instead of as a parts list.

How to choose your coverage tier

Every tier covers three different areas depending on one thing: how strong the cellular signal is outside your building. A system can only rebroadcast what its donor antenna receives, so the same equipment that blankets 50,000 ft² at a site with strong outside signal may reach 7,500 ft² at a site where signal is weak.

That is why the table shows three numbers per tier instead of one. Read down the column that matches your site:

  • Strong outside signal (−95 dBm RSRP or better). Typical of buildings in town with a clear path to a nearby tower.
  • Fair outside signal (−105 dBm RSRP). The most common case for commercial buildings in city outskirts.
  • Weak outside signal (−115 dBm RSRP). Rural sites, buildings a long way from a tower, or sites where terrain or other structures block the path to the tower.

If you don’t know which column applies to your building, call us at 435-634-6800. Measuring outside signal takes a few minutes, and getting this right is the difference between a system that performs and one that disappoints.

Buildings larger than Tier 4, or with unusual requirements, are served by a fully custom design instead. Powerful Signal engineers in-building systems from a few thousand square feet to several million. Request a free custom quote and we will design to your building.

What every FAST-DAS solution includes

  • RF engineering and system design, produced from your floor plans by Powerful Signal’s design engineers.
  • All equipment: the amplifier, the outside donor antenna, every indoor antenna, coax, splitters and taps, surge protection, connectors, and mounting hardware.
  • Professional installation by a Powerful Signal installation partner.
  • A pre-installation site survey. Before any equipment is mounted, a Powerful Signal installation partner measures the outside signal to confirm it supports the tier you ordered, then scans the interior at points throughout the building to locate the weakest coverage and verify that the design reaches the areas that matter most to you.
  • Commissioning and performance testing, followed by a post-commission survey that measures the improvement at the same scan points used during the site survey.
  • Free lifetime technical support on everything we supply.

What you provide

  • Building floor plans. These drive the design, so the more accurate they are, the closer the design lands on the first pass.
  • Site access: the roof or exterior wall for the donor antenna, interior pathways for cable, and power at the equipment location.
  • Carrier registration or approval. FCC rules require that the system be cleared with each carrier whose signal it amplifies, and the building owner or operator does that. A Part 20 consumer system is registered online: free, and a few minutes per carrier. A Part 90 industrial system instead needs each carrier’s approval before it goes into operation, which takes longer and should be started early. We will tell you which one applies to your system and exactly what to submit.

What is not included

The tier price covers the system and a standard installation. The items below fall outside that scope. Most can be arranged at additional cost, so tell us about them before you order and we will price them into the project instead of raising them after work begins.

  • Applicable local taxes.
  • Special permits required by your jurisdiction, your landlord, or your building.
  • Union labor or prevailing-wage rates, where your site or contract requires them.
  • Installation of new conduit. We pull cable through existing pathways. Running new conduit is separate work.
  • Ladders over 8′ and lifts of any kind, including elevated work platforms, cherry pickers, and scissor lifts.
  • HEPA dust containment carts, commonly required in hospitals, laboratories, and other controlled environments.

None of these need to be a surprise. Call us at 435-634-6800 before you order and we will tell you which apply to your building and what they cost.

How a FAST-DAS project runs

  1. Discovery call. We collect your building size and address, the carriers that matter to you, where coverage fails today, and your floor plans.
  2. Engineered design. Powerful Signal’s design engineers turn your floor plans into a redlined design showing the donor antenna, the head-end location, cable runs, and every indoor antenna. The design is produced from the floor plans before anyone visits the site.
  3. Your approval. You review and approve the design.
  4. Pre-installation site survey. A Powerful Signal installation partner visits to measure the outside signal, scan the interior, and confirm the design, adjusting it only where the building requires it.
  5. Installation and commissioning. The system goes in, gets commissioned, and is performance-tested. A post-commission survey measures the improvement at the same points scanned during the site survey, so you can see what changed.

Commercial buildings with cellular problems usually have them throughout the building rather than in one wing, which is why a redlined design from good floor plans is normally close to final. The site survey confirms the design rather than restarting it, and that is a large part of why FAST-DAS moves in weeks.

Works with all major cellular carriers

A FAST-DAS solution improves signal for Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and most others, all at the same time and on the same system.

Every phone and cellular device in the building benefits, whatever network it is on and whoever owns it. There is nothing for your employees, tenants, or visitors to install, join, or configure.

It operates on common cellular frequencies, and it carries no monthly fees, subscriptions, or recurring charges.

Who is Cellular FAST-DAS for?

Any commercial building where people cannot rely on their phones. Powerful Signal has engineered in-building cellular systems across effectively every commercial building type in the United States since 2007.

  • Office buildings and corporate campuses.
  • Healthcare facilities, where a dropped call can matter a great deal.
  • Schools, universities, and student housing.
  • Warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants.
  • Hotels, resorts, and conference venues.
  • Apartment communities and other multi-dwelling buildings.
  • Government facilities and public-safety applications.
  • Retail centers and data centers.

Buildings built with steel, concrete, brick, foil-backed insulation, or low-E glass block cellular signal particularly well, which is why newer and more energy-efficient buildings often have the worst coverage.
