Features of the 5G Marine Coastal Cellular Signal Booster

  • The most powerful cellular signal amplifier for multi-deck vessels, including coast guard cutters, naval support ships, research vessels, feeder vessels, and other similar ships.
  • Combines a high-gain industrial booster with up to 75 dB of downlink gain with your choice of antennas for the best possible signal while underway and while moored. The booster amplifies signal for six bands of 5G/NR and 4G/LTE cellular frequency, including T-Mobile’s 600 MHz band 71.
  • Ample uplink power (up to 26 dBm) and downlink power (up to 17 dBm) for a stronger connection to the cell tower and more coverage inside your vessel.
  • The cellular signal booster’s color touchscreen LCD display displays the status of each band of frequency and allows you to disable any frequency or manually adjust its gain, if necessary.
  • Administer, monitor, and receive system alerts with the Signal Supervisor web portal. (Ethernet connection required.) Unlike competing systems, Signal Supervisor is included with your purchase and has no recurring subscription fees.
  • The outside donor antenna is the Poynting OMNI-493 29.5″ high-gain marine antenna, with a UV‑stable ASA enclosure and 6 to 9 dBi of gain.

Signal Supervisor web portal

With an Ethernet connection, you can monitor, administer, and receive email alerts from your HiBoost Pro25T-6s system from any device with a web browser and internet access. You can also administer multiple HiBoost systems at one or multiple locations.

Signal Supervisor smartphone app

HiBoost’s Signal Supervisor app for smartphones helps you set up and monitor your cell signal booster. The booster links to your iPhone or Android smartphone via a Bluetooth or WiFi connection. With Signal Supervisor, you can:

  • Register your booster via a QR Code or Bluetooth.
  • Monitor your signal booster’s status via Bluetooth.
  • Set up and receive remote alerts if your booster isn’t operating properly.
  • View your booster’s power settings, gain, and dBm output.
  • Manage multiple boosters.

High-performance Poynting antennas

The Marine Coastal Cellular Signal Booster includes an outside marine antenna for sending and receiving cell signal to and from cell towers and six inside antennas for broadcasting amplified cell signal in the compartments in your ship.

Poynting OMNI-493

The 29.5″ Poynting OMNI-493 is an ultra-wideband, high performance, omnidirectional antenna that covers 4G/LTE and 5G bands with excellent balanced gain across all frequencies. It operates from 617 to 3800 MHz with a gain of 6 to 9 dBi. The OMNI-493 is IP 68-ratedexternal link icon for protection against water immersion and dust and is rated for wind conditions up to 100 ᴍᴘʜ (160 ᴋᴘʜ / 80 kts.).

This antenna attaches to a standard 1″ × 14 thread marine mount with an exit hole through which you can run a 1′ TS-195 jumper cable (included) and connect to a 400 coax cable that runs to the booster. The antenna also mounts to poles or posts 1½″ to 2″ in diameter.

Poynting PUCK-1

The Poynting PUCK-1 is a compact (3.9″ ᴅ × 1.4″ ʜ) omnidirectional dome antenna with six flexible mounting options, including magnetic and adhesive bases. It has 7 dBi of gain on high-band cellular frequencies (1710–2700 MHz) and nominal gain (−1 dBi) on low-band frequencies (698–960 MHz). It should be mounted to a horizontal surface (like a deckhead) in the center of the compartment where you want to improve cellular signal.

The PUCK-1 has 6.6′ of thin RTK031 coax cable, terminating in a 0.35″ SMA-male connector that can be easily fed between decks. From there, it attaches to the longer, thicker 400-type coax cables that run to the cell signal booster.

Installation

The Marine Coastal Cellular Signal Booster can be installed by a marine electrical engineer or electro-technical officer (ETO) who has experience running cable in large vessels. Connecting the antennas to the cell signal booster with coax cable is relatively straightforward and does not require any background or training with cellular amplification equipment.
