What size cell booster should I buy for my home?

Residential (home) cell phone boosters are designed to provide a general area of improved cell signal, usually measured in square feet. Manufacturers calculate the absolute best coverage a booster will deliver, based on ideal conditions; these figures, however, rarely reflect real-world experience.

If a signal booster system is advertised to cover up to 10,000 square feet, under typical conditions it will probably cover around 3,000 to 4,000 square feet. Your house is not a completely open area: Doors and walls absorb cellular frequencies, and a pantry full of metal cans will block cell signal entirely.

The best way to determine the right solution for your home is to speak with an experienced technical support representative from a reliable company and let them help you choose the best system, based on the size and unique characteristics your home.
