Do U.S. and Canadian cell phone boosters work in other countries?
Please see the maps below.
Cell signal boosters designed for the United States and Canadian markets operate on 850/1900 MHz cellular frequencies. Countries that use these frequencies are indicated in green on the map. U.S./Canadian cell signal boosters will work in these countries.
Most other countries operate on 900/1800 MHz frequencies. These countries are indicated in orange on the map. U.S./Canadian cell signal boosters will not work in these countries.
A few countries have mixed networks that use both frequencies; often the choice of frequencies is determined by the carrier. These are indicated in blue on the map. U.S./Canadian cell signal boosters may or may not work in these countries; check with the specific carrier you use there.
If you live in or are planning an extended stay in a 900/1800 MHz or mixed-network country, we recommend that you purchase a cell signal booster from a local or regional reseller.
