Should I use a wideband or channel-specific cellular amplifier in my building?

Channel-specific cellular amplifiers boost the signal of just a single carrier network, while wideband amplifiers improve signal for all major networks at the same time.

Until recently, channel-specific DAS has been limited to multi-million dollar fiber systems. Recent developments from Nextivity have made channel-specific cell signal booster systems much more affordable for small businesses and buildings in the “middleprise” segment (buildings less than one million square feet).

Wideband amplifiers are popular because of their multi-network coverage. Our experience has shown, however, that a carrier-specific solution often works best in dense urban areas or other situations where one carrier’s signal is drowning out all others.
