Product Description

This system has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Please see our line of WilsonPro Enterprise 4300 Series commercial cellular boosters.

Features of the WilsonPro 4000R

  • Provides coverage for office buildings, hospitals, campuses, warehouses, and other large facilities.
  • Rack-mounted to fit your I.T. room or closet.
  • Four independent amplifiers, each with its own port and automatic XDR gain adjustment, supporting 4 to 16 or more broadcast antennas.
  • Color LCD setup screen and power meter with D-pad controller.
  • Boosts 4G LTE and 3G service for voice, text, and data.
  • Carrier agnostic: Works with all major U.S. cellular carriers and networks.

The WilsonPro 4000R is a rack-mounted, four-amplifier system designed for office buildings, warehouses, hospitals, hotels, campuses, and other large facilities. One WilsonPro 4000R can cover 100,000 to 140,000 square feet, with support for 16 or more inside broadcast antennas (depending on outside signal strength).

This is the industry’s first cell phone signal amplifier designed to be mounted with the rest of your I.T. infrastructure: The Pro 4000R fits in a standard server rack in your I.T. room or closet. Simply run plenum, HELIAX®, or 400-type coax cable from the outside donor antenna and inside broadcast antennas to your I.T. room, mount the Pro 4000R in your rack, and attach the antenna cables to the back to the amplifier.

The WilsonPro 4000R automatically controls the four built-in amplifiers with its on-board software, and adjusts the gain level for each port independently, up or down, as needed. Any one amplifier port can reduce its gain to prevent oscillation without decreasing coverage to the other three ports. And with Wilson’s XDR (eXtended Dynamic Range) technology, the Pro 4000R will never overpower or shut down.

Also unique to the WilsonPro 4000R is its color LCD screen and D-pad navigation controller, which allows installers and administrators to monitor and adjust the gain of the various cellular frequencies the Pro 4000R supports.

Who is the WilsonPro 4000R for?

  • Office buildings, medical/business/education/government campuses, warehouses/distribution centers, and other multi-floor and/or large buildings.
  • Those who have heavy cellular user and data loads.
  • Those who have a multiple areas that need better cell signal
  • Those who frequently experience dropped calls, undelivered texts, or slow 4G data.
  • Buildings in urban locations with building materials that block outside cell signal (steel, low-e glass, concrete, plaster, etc.).
  • Buildings with floor space below ground level, and other places where cell reception is poor.

Optional plenum air coax cable upgrade

The WilsonPro 4000R system includes 400-type coax cable to connect the amplifier to the inside antennas. If your building requires fire-rated cable in plenum spaces, please ask us about upgrading to ½-inch plenum air coax. Plenum cable fully meets state and federal building codes.

Plenum cable also has nearly half the signal loss per foot of cable compared to 400-type coax cable, delivering stronger signal from the WilsonPro amplifier to your phones and other cellular devices.

(Plenum air cable is available at additional cost. Call Powerful Signal at 866-912-3444 for details.)

400-type coax cable and plenum air coax cable terminated with N-male connectors This system uses 400 coax (left), but you can upgrade to fire-rated plenum air coax cable (right) for building-code compliance and better performance.

Purchasing a WilsonPro 4000R system

Properly installing and configuring the WilsonPro 4000R is complex task, so we strongly advise a custom solution (see above). If you prefer to purchase this system as a standalone product, without design and installation, the kit comes with the following components:

How the WilsonPro 4000R works

Using Wilson Electronics’ patented SmarTech III® technology, the WilsonPro 4000R receives the outside cell signal, amplifies it, and rebroadcasts it inside your office through four individual ports. This allows you to stay connected in areas where cell service is poor or where your office’s building materials interfere with signals from the local cell tower.

Works with all major cellular carriers

The WilsonPro 4000R works with all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T‑Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most others.

It operates on common 4G/3G cellular frequencies.

  • 700 MHz (SMH) bands 12, 13, 17.
  • 850 MHz (Cellular 850) band 5.
  • 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) band 4.
  • 1900 MHz (PCS) bands 2, 25.

How much area will the WilsonPro 4000R cover?

This system comes with four dome antennas that each broadcast improved cellular signal in a spherical pattern. The radius of that circle depends on many factors, including:

  • Outside cell signal strength received by the donor antenna.
  • Inside building materials. (Cellular frequencies pass through wood framing and drywall more easily than through steel and concrete.)
  • Cellular frequencies used by the carrier. (Lower-frequency LTE and 800 MHz signals travel farther than higher-frequency AWS and PCS signals.)

In general, the stronger the outside cell signal, the greater the interior broadcast distance.

Powerful Signal has over a decade of experience designing and installing cellular amplification systems. Please call us at 866‐912‐3444 or contact us online, and we’ll be happy to calculate the coverage area this system will provide in your building and answer any other questions about this amplifier.

Some online retailers claim that a one-antenna WilsonPro commercial system will provide 50,000 square feet of coverage. That figure is unrealistic under typical conditions, and Powerful Signal warns consumers against purchasing WilsonPro systems from retailers who make such exaggerated claims.
