Wilson 801165 801365 65dB Building System
Product Description
Please Note: This product, 801165 and 801365 have been discontinued by Wilson Electronics. Please view our other Home Systems
The Wilson wireless 65dB single-band building kit is designed to improve the cell signal strength in a small home or office. This is a complete system that includes a 65dB single-band Wilson wireless amplifier (801165 or 801365), two lengths of 400 low-loss coax, your choice of exterior antenna, and your choice of interior antenna. Everything easily connects together. Antennas need to be mounted, and coax needs to be run from the amplifier to each antenna. The amplifier is the only component that requires power.
This is a single-band system. You choose which frequency you need when ordering. The system is available in 800MHz or 1900MHz. Check with your carrier to see which freqency you need. Sprint and T-Mobile usually use 1900MHz. Verizon and AT&T use both 800MHz and 1900MHz. Alltel and US Cellular usually use 800MHz. If you are not sure, you may want to use a dual-band system.
Wilson 801165 / 801365
A choice from two different Wilson amplifiers is available. Each has 65dB of gain. This is strong enough for a small house or office. These are single band amplifiers, one 800MHz and the other 1900MHz. You need to know your frequency. Contact Powerful Signal if you have any questions.

Exterior Antenna Options
Two different types of antenna are available with this kit, either a directional Yagi or an Omni-directional pole.
The yagi has the strongest gain, but needs to be pointed in the direction of the tower. It needs a decent line of sight to the tower.
The Omni-directional is 360 degrees and picks up towers in all directions. This is the best antenna to use in forested, rugged or mountain areas.

The dome is Omni-directional which broadcasts signal in all directions. It is designed to be mounted on a ceiling.
The panel is directional. It is designed to be mounted on a wall and broadcasts signal in about an 85 degree beam out across the room.

Coax
Two lengths of low-loss 400 coax are provided with the system. Each antenna, outside and inside, needs to be connected to the amplifier. Coax is pre-cut and terminated, ready to connect.
Note: Never coil coax. Coiling may cause problems with the system.
