Tri-Band 4G LTE-Cell-PCS Small Building System

 

Product Description The Tri-Band 703  System supports 3 main frequencies, 4G LTE for Verizon, Cellular 800MHz, and PCS 1900MHz.  The 4G LTE is only for Verizon whereas the 800/1900MHz is for all major CDMA and GSM carriers using the 800/1900MHz frequencies (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Alltel, etc.)   Powerful Signal provides design assistance for your system.  Please contact us if you have any questions.

 

 

 

The two outside antennas, 4G LTE Yagi and cell/PCS omni, need to be mounted on the roof of your building.  Each outside antenna is designed to be mounted on the Universal J-Pipe mounts or a pole (max 2" diameter) using U-bolts.  Coax needs to be run from the outside antennas to the amplifier.  The amplifier can easily be mounted on a wall in an equipment, utility or storage room.  The inside antenna needs to be mounted on a ceiling (dome).  The dome may also be placed in an attic facing downwards.  It will broadcast through the ceiling sheetrock.  Wall mount panel antennas are available in place of ceiling domes.  Coax needs to be run from the amplifier to the inside antenna.  Please contact Powerful Signal if you require wall mount panel antennas.  Coax needs to be run from the amplifier unit to the interior antenna.  Standard wall plug power is required near the amplifier.  Antennas do not require power.

The Tri-Band 703 amplifies multiple frequencies with potentially different input signal strengths that can result in a variety of coverage situations for the different frequencies.  Inside coverage distance varies depending upon outside signal strength, carrier frequency (750 LTE, 800 or 1900MHz), coax length and interior obstacles.  The Tri-Band 703 system has been designed to provide approximately 1,500 to 20,000 sf of coverage depending upon signal strength and frequency.

 

For example 1 bar outside signal on the 1900MHz frequencies gives you about 1,500 sf of coverage whereas 1 bar outside signal on 800MHz or 700 LTE gives you about 5,000+ sf of coverage.  A 4-5 bar outside signal on 1900MHz gives you about 10,000+ sf of coverage and 4-5 bar outside signal on 700 LTE and 800MHz gives you about 20,000+ sf of coverage.

Exterior and interior antennas need to have the proper separation.  This is usually about 50+ feet depending upon several variables.  The exterior antennas, omni and LTE yagi need to separated about 5' form each other.

Outside Antennas There are two outside antennas delivered with the system, a 5dB gain omni for 800 cellular and 1900 PCS, and a 10dB gain 4G LTE yagi. Omni - 5dB gain fiberglass LTE Yagi - 10dB gain directional The omni antenna collects signal from 360 degrees, all directions.  This antenna is generally recommended, and it works well in most situations.   The LTE Yagi is directional and must be pointed in the direction of the 4G LTE tower.   Mounting hardware is included for both antennas, and installation is required.   This system includes 2 J-Pipe Universal Antenna mounts, one for each exterior antenna. Inside Antennas The default antenna(s) for the TriBand 703 system is ceiling mount domes.  Wall mount panels may be requested.  Contact Powerful Signal if you need panel antennas in place of dome antennas. Dome - ceiling mount 700-2700MHz Panel - wall mount panel 700-2500MHz The dome is recommended in most situations when an attic or dropped ceiling is available.  A panel is recommended in homes and buildings with vaulted ceilings and situations where antennas cannot be mounted on the ceiling. Coax This system provides two lengths of 400 low loss coax.  One length is used from the amplifier to the interior antenna.  The other length is used from the amplifier to the exterior antenna.  Select lengths that best fit your installation environment.  Remember each foot of coax is signal loss, so don't just get the longest length.  Figure what you need, and select the length that best fits.    Note:  Never coil excess coax.  It will cause problems.
